Another character meme stolen from [info]deadsexy127
Not mine at all, but I took it from a friend. The rules are simple. Pick any of my characters here and I'll attempt to do the answers honestly as I can. Keep in mind, muses are picky and might not answer right away or not like the question in which case it'll take a while. Feel free to steal and edit to your hearts content!

1) Describe your character’s relationship with their Parents (If they don't have parents, pick the next best thing). Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

3) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?

4) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?

1) Describe your character’s relationship with their Parents (If they don't have parents, pick the next best thing). Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Mer's relationship with her parents is both complicated and AWFUL. Ellis Grey was a brilliant surgeon and she's where Mer gets it from, but she was largely an ice bitch and more or less treated Mer as if she were an inconvenience growing up. Once Ellis came down with Alzheimer's, Mer also learned some disturbing things about her mum.

Her dad Thatcher Grey, ran off when Mer was a little girl without much of a goodbye and had a second family that was normal.

2) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Other than the fact that she's a skinny waif? I'd say it's her eyes. Mer's got cat eyes almost.

3) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
She's got a tiny scar from liver surgery - her dad was dying of liver disease and Lexie talked Mer into giving him a part of hers because they were compatible.

4) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Mer is slightly vain - she's been known to cover a pimple on her forehead with a plaster, but I doubt she finds herself attractive.

5) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
I'd say she's a 0 to a 1. Derek is the love of her life and Cristina is her soul mate, but I don't see her hoping into bed with anyone of the same gender for sex. Cristina crawls into bed between her and Derek when she's stressed and Mer is used to it.

6) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
This is Mer we're talking about. I'd suppose it's her Post-It note marriage to Derek, but I COULD be wrong.

7) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
What event WOULDN'T she like to erase would be a better question. For now I'll say it was either watching the bomb squad leader blow up right in front of her, accidentally killing Denny Duquette, trying to drown herself, watching a shooter in the hospital shoot Derek point blank, her subsequent miscarriage, tampering with medical trial results, or losing the baby she wanted to adopt for said tampering.

8) What’s your character’s favourite ice cream flavour? Colour? Song? Flower?
Strawberry is her favourite flavour. I'd say her favourite colour is pink, song is 'Save Me' by Jem, and as for flower, I doubt she knows these exist.

9) Who does your character trust?
In canon, she trusts Derek and Cristina, then Alex to a lesser extent since both George and Izzie are gone. In game, she's got Donna Noble, Peter Petrelli, Lucy Danziger, Rory Williams, and Castiel 1.

10) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
Mer's life is a series of turning points and in order to see them, I'd have to go through an entire eight seasons of character history.

11) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Mer's about average with it - I mean she can work her mobile without fumbling with the keys and presumably knows how to work a computer, but she's not super-savvy.

12) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?

Providing she gets a chance to make it, it's big, fluffy, and has so many cushions, you begin to wonder if there's any room for her. The covers might be off the side, but usually they're curled snugly around her. She sleeps on her side in very warm jim-jams. It's cold in Seattle.

13) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
Cold, she adapts just fine. When it gets hot she rarely knows how to handle herself because overwhelmingly hot isn't something the state of Washington is known for.

14) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Total night owl. Her sleeping schedule is erratic because of hospital hours, so it's not uncommon for her to have French toast when one eats dinner and then leftover night!pizza for breakfast on the way home.

15) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Closest thing to it is Lexie - she was awful to Lexie in the beginning, but they've reached an understanding and they live in the same house. She and Alex totally have a brother/sister relationship.

16) What’s your character’s desk/workspace/vehicle look like? Are they neat or messy?
If it weren't for other people, I seriously doubt Mer would have order in any respect of her life. Her cabin at dj has clothes strewn everywhere.

17) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favourite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
HAH, you don't let Mer cook anything unless you want them to die of food poisoning. Her favourite recipe is getting Izzie to cook something for her.

18) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
She drives a Jeep and later some sort of SUV in canon.

19) Does your character have any irrational fears?
She's primarily afraid that she'll get old and no one will love her properly, but she's also paranoid that she isn't good enough for anything because her mum told her so.

20) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
Possibly back to the 1970's or 1980's to punch her mum in the face?

21) Is your character superstitious?
Slightly. She doesn't like to get out of bed unless she has a solid sense of hope for the day.

22) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
Someone who loves her completely and honestly. Most would just say 'Derek Shepherd,' but he's such an egomaniac, it's often hard to tell if he really loves Mer or the idea of her.

23) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
She's got surgeon's hands. They're cold, possibly a bit dry. She uses moisturizer, but it only goes so far.

24) Second day of favourites! Favourite comfort food, favourite vice, favourite outfit, favourite hot drink, favourite time of year, and favourite holiday.
Comfort food: Strawberry ice cream
Favourite vice: Sex. Or possible emotional self-flagellation.
Favourite outfit: She hardly wears anything aside from scrubs, but she usually has long-sleeved tops and a pair of beltless jeans to shuffle about in.

25) Something your character has lost in their life.
Right now in canon, it's baby Zola.

26) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
Emo indie rock.

27) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
She has strawberry shampoo and it's something that she generally regrets when men come around because the first thing they do is have a sniff.

1) Describe your character’s relationship with their Parents (If they don't have parents, pick the next best thing). Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

Jack's dad is seen and mentioned briefly, but we really don't know much about his background at all. His parents were killed when he and his brother were quite young, but I doubt it was bad.

2) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
It's either his smile or the fact that he can get naked faster than most pole dancers. That would mean ALL his features.

3) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
It's like Jack is immune to scarring. He's been stabbed, shot, exterminated, and had his lifeforce sucked dry from a giant demon monster, but his regenerative ability keeps anything from getting too ugly.

4) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Jack doesn't think he's attractive, he knows he's attractive, and yes, he's quite vain. Bloke doesn't like telling people how old he is.

5) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
Jack defies all sexual stereotypes as a pansexual - if you're attractive he'll shag you, and even then, he might find something else about you he fancies. You don't have to be human in the least.

6) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
I would say the birth of his daughter, but he seems happier when just spending time with Rose and Nine, so I'll say the unseen Kyoto adventure between Boom Town and Bad Wolf.

7) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Jack has loads of things he regrets and has wronged so many people in the past we'd be here forever if I listed them all. I think he regrets not treating Ianto better for one, and he also regrets not being able to help the Doctor while the Master was torturing them both. Also, Tosh and Owen are a rather sore subject.

8) What’s your character’s favourite ice cream flavour? Colour? Song? Flower?
Ice cream: It depends on whom he's licking it off.
Colour: Blue, because like a cat, he knows what looks best on him.
Song: Moonlight Serenade has yet to fail in getting him laid.

9) Who does your character trust?
The Doctor first and foremost, but also his Torchwood team, Rose, and Castiel 1 at dj. It would also be fair to mention Martha and Donna since I doubt they'd sit and have an ice cream while the world was ending. They'd help him.

10) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
BAD WOLF. ROSE BRINGS LIFE. Sorry, Jack now you're stuck with it...

11) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Jack is brilliant when it comes to technology - possibly just as much as the Doctor if not slightly less. He's the one that helped incorporate the Extrapolator into the TARDIS console.

12) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
Jack sleeps primarily on his back with his limbs sprawled out, but while it's two pillows and a sheet, I think the more important question is how many people are in it. Especially in-game.

13) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
He's not overtly fond of cold, but he's not going to bitch. He can deal either way.

14) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Jack's a morning person because it pisses other (grumpy) people off and he loves nosing people like Rose out of bed because he can.

15) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Nope! Jack's family is either long dead or absolutely psychotic. Exhibit: Gray.

16) What’s your character’s desk/workspace/vehicle look like? Are they neat or messy?
His workspace looks like somewhere you'd want to play - there's several gadgets strewn about and several of them have unknown functions. They either make tea, save the world, or give you multiple orgasms. Hard to tell with Jack.

17) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favourite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
Jack is a competent cook. He survived on his own a fair bit, but he's no cooking genius. Chocolate-covered fruits are always welcomed, though.

18) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
Does it travel in time? Jack is THERE.

19) Does your character have any irrational fears?
Not in the least. Jack is only likely to run from something if it's absolutely clear on the fact that it wants him dead and even then, it's sort of a guideline. If there's three people in a group and he's the one that gets shot, the group hasn't been hit where it matters.

20) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
Pfft, been there, done that.

21) Is your character superstitious?
Not at all.

22) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
Does it have bits? Again, bits are a guideline. If there are no bits, he won't complain. Romantically, Jack just needs someone willing to embrace the fact that monogamy isn't his thing.

23) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
He's got long fingers that are slightly calloused and bear a few scars from accidental electrical burns.

24) Second day of favourites! Favourite comfort food, favourite vice, favourite outfit, favourite hot drink, favourite time of year, and favourite holiday.
Comfort food: He'd rather have a strong drink.
Vice: Jack was a con-man. You take your pick.
Outfit: Blue button-down shirt, red braces, black slacks. Never forget the posh coat.
Hot drink: Ianto's brand of tea or coffee.
Time of year: That time where he can relax for five fucking minutes before an alien tries to ruin his day.
Holiday: Christmas would be lovely if aliens weren't always trying to invade.

25) Something your character has lost in their life.
First his home, then his family, then Rose and the Doctor, and everyone on his team but Gwen Cooper. Jack is almost waiting for loss to happen.

26) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
Science fiction porn.

27) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
Jack wears a bit of cologne, but you can't smell it unless you're on top of him or under him. Classy bastard that he is.

1) Describe your character’s relationship with their Parents (If they don't have parents, pick the next best thing). Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Somehow I don't think Auron knew his parents much at all. I mean, his father might've BEEN there, but I doubt he paid Auron much attention at all. Though Auron was a quiet, resourceful child that didn't mind being left to his own devices.

2) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Probably the scar that took his eye - it's the one thing people tend to stare at the most.

3) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
Again, it's over his eye and he got it after confronting Lady Yunalesca the first time. He was lucky to come back as an Unsent after that nonsense.

4) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Not at all and I doubt Auron realizes the big sword the ladies are talking about has nothing to do with his actual weapon.

5) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
I'd say he's a zero to a one, providing he isn't entirely asexual. Auron's got more important things to worry about than who he's dragging to bed later in the evening. Although he is male, and I'm SURE he's had several peeks at Lulu's cleavage because it's there.

6) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
The entire pilgrimage with Braska and Jecht was idyllic if not bittersweet. They were the two people he was closest to his entire life.

7) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
How about the fact that Jecht became Braska's Final Aeon? How about Braska died summoning said Final Aeon and poor Jecht got to become Sin?

8) What’s your character’s favourite ice cream flavour? Colour? Song? Flower?
Ice Cream: Does this even exist in Spira? They seem like a land of very little fun.
Colour: Red (not because of his coat - Lulu's eyes are also a lovely shade of red)
Song: If they catch you with an iPod in Spira, they lynch you. Unless you're an Al Bhed. Then the iPod probably explodes in some way so you can escape the lynch mob.

9) Who does your character trust?
He trusts the other party members, definitely, but I'd say Kimahri most of all. There was a friendship there we didn't get to see much of. And I like to think he and Lulu got along on the basis that they were the only sane members of the group.

10) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
How about when he was KILLED for being insolent?

11) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Machina doesn't seem to be of much interest to Auron. When it comes to that, he'd probably rather leave it to Rikku because she's the true expert.

12) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
Auron's bed is very sparse and if he sleeps at all, it's on his back. He's not a very heavy sleeper either, so chances are there's a weapon in one hand beneath the sheets. Any jokes about his penis could follow.

13) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
Auron plows through any and all like the BAMF he is. I doubt he can feel them anyway. Being Unsent probably mutes a lot of his emotions and sensations.

14) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Early morning bird, which probably pisses the likes of Wakka and Tidus off.

15) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Not at all. I think for a time he was close to Maester Kinoc, but the closest thing to family he has is Tidus, who he treats like a son. He's also fond of Yuna because she's Braska's.

16) What’s your character’s desk/workspace/vehicle look like? Are they neat or messy?
Probably would be neat to the point of OCD.

17) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favourite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
Tidus is still alive, so it's presumable he's at least competent. Although seeing as Tidus is a dream and the dream had to end, it's hard to tell if dreams require nourishment outside of Baaj Temple.

18) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
He walks. He rides the snow bike in Macalania, but that's because they're pressed for time. The airship is also incidental.

19) Does your character have any irrational fears?
Other than not being ready to return to the Farplane, Auron can survive anything you throw at him.

20) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
I like to think he'd go back to see Jecht and Braska again, but he wouldn't engage them because he'd already be there.

21) Is your character superstitious?
Not at all. Yevon is like an awesome in-joke.

22) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
Someone stoic and logical as he is - ie, Lulu. They were so blatantly perfect for each other it hurt to see so little between them.

23) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
Very calloused and scarred. He's been a swordsman since he was old enough to train properly.

24) Second day of favourites! Favourite comfort food, favourite vice, favourite outfit, favourite hot drink, favourite time of year, and favourite holiday.
Favourite comfort food: He doesn't eat. Not even at Seymour's house.
Favourite vice: If watching the occasional blitzball game is a vice, then every bloke in the US and the UK would be guilty for both versions of football.
Favourite outfit: He NEVER changes clothes. No FF character ever does.
Favourite hot drink: Depends on what you mean by hot - he carries his sake with him.
Favourite time of year: The Calm is always nice. Fewer incidents concerning genocide.
Favourite holiday: They don't have these in Spira.

25) Something your character has lost in their life.
His two best friends and his own life. The eye is trivial in comparison to that.

26) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
Kurosawa samurai film.

27) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
No, but he smells primarily of leather. He wears enough of it.

1) Describe your character’s relationship with their Parents (If they don't have parents, pick the next best thing). Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Nelson's parents "don't enjoy his company." They were religious to the point of zealotry and sold the family farm to live in a tent because they believed Judgment Day was coming. It never did and Nelson's father took the disappointment out on him, so they don't speak.

2) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
Nelson's well over six feet tall and his head is the size of a cannon ball. I imagine he's rather intimidating to be around.

3) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?
He has a series of very deep scars on his back, many of which are self-imposed. He practices self-flagellation as a form of penance for his sins, but I imagine someone had to have taught him the behaviour. Probably was his dad.

4) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
Not at all and he doesn't concern himself with such things - as long as he is presentable in a professional fashion, he's good to go.

5) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
Let's say he's heterosexual and leave it at that.

6) Describe your character’s happiest memory.
Probably coming home to find Lucy holding their baby. Or perhaps the first time he actually held Abigail, otherwise Nelson's life is pretty grim all around.

7) Is there one event or happening your character would like to erase from their past? Why?
Well, he drowned his partner for being a traitor and losing them their only witness on a case he was working on. And he slept with a woman who wasn't his wife, leading to a bastard child and a divorce. I'm sure he'd like to take both of those back.

8) What’s your character’s favourite ice cream flavour? Colour? Song? Flower?
None of these things apply to Nelson, believe me. Bloke's an automaton, but it isn't his fault. From what we know of his upbringing, it seems rather dysfunctional.

9) Who does your character trust?
At this point? No one, although Abigail's nanny Sigrid seems to be the only person he's truly confided in. And I will say he does trust Rose, although they don't know each other very well at all. Despite being married for thirteen years.

10) Can you define a turning point in your character’s life? Multiples are acceptable.
Probably when he thought he was about to be caught for his crimes - Agent Clarkson terrified him straight. But it didn't last and now he's a fugitive because the truth did eventually come out.

11) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?
Luddite until the end. At dj, he can barely work his mobile and it goes in the icebox when it pisses him off too badly.

12) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?
He has a point of making it every day and if he does actually sleep, it's on his side, facing away from Lucy. She sadly has the tendency of coming in and spooning against his back.

13) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?
He doesn't like extreme heat - the last thing he wants to think about is the possibility of being reassigned to the Everglades to bust bootleggers there.

14) Is your character an early morning bird or a night owl?
Both and it drives people around him insane.

15) Are there any blood relatives that your character is particularly close with, besides the immediate ones? Cousins, Uncles, Grandfathers, Aunts, et cetera. Are there any others that your character practically considers a blood relative?
Not outside his daughter. He's mentioned having an uncle in the feed business before, but we've never seen any other members of his family, though I so want to. Imagine how odd that has to be.

16) What’s your character’s desk/workspace/vehicle look like? Are they neat or messy?
Everything in its place and God help you if you move it - pity they couldn't diagnose Asperger's syndrome in the 20's.

17) Is your character a good cook? What’s their favourite recipe, whether they’re good or not? (Microwave mac-and-cheese applies.)
Hah, no. He's of the persuasion that such a thing is a woman's job.

18) What’s your character’s preferred means of travel?
Motor cars are just fine, but they don't look the same as they did in his time and this makes him wary and unwilling to explore.

19) Does your character have any irrational fears?
Well, he thinks he's going to Hell and he's probably right to think that. And when it comes to Abigail, he won't admit it, but every cry sets him off.

20) If your character could time travel, where would they go?
He'd stay right where he is. Time travel would NOT be kind to Nelson's already precarious psyche.

21) Is your character superstitious?
HIGHLY.

22) What might your character’s ideal romantic partner be?
Someone who could both be patient and who wouldn't put up with his bollocks. Rose placated to him and look what happened. Someone who talks back would be better - he tried to accommodate Lucy as best he could.

23) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?
Large and long fingers - all the better to drown you with. They also shake when he's nervous.

24) Second day of favourites! Favourite comfort food, favourite vice, favourite outfit, favourite hot drink, favourite time of year, and favourite holiday.
Comfort Food: I doubt he understands this concept.
Favourite Vice: Please see Lucy Danziger. And he smokes like a chimney.
Everything else is NOT APPLICABLE.

25) Something your character has lost in their life.
At the end of S2? Almost everything - his wife and his job are out of the picture now. Now his freedom is entirely precarious. And I'm still waiting for Lucy to come back, looking to take Abigail away.

26) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?
It'd be like a noir mystery combined with a Hitchcock film. You don't want to know.

27) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne?
Probably just the generic soap brand of the time. It's been disclosed a few times he doesn't make that much on government salary, so anything that isn't essential isn't considered.

"Someone who talks back"

No wonder he liked Tessa.

Also...The Trouble With Harry. You know. Where you have to keep digging up and re-burying the body. XD

Exactly! Tessa sort of kept his crazy grounded, which is no easy feat. Even for Nelson himself.

And lol, that's more Eli Thompson's issue, but I'm thinking Nelson will be experiencing that soon enough when he meets Al Capone.

Until Lucy showed up, that is. Then the crazy increased exponentially. Tessa is not very happy about Nelson letting a pregnant woman trip on V. Or anything else.

To be fair, he didn't know she even had the V and she slipped it into his coffee - once he realized that was the case, he was pissed but too fucked up to do anything about it. The meltdown came later. With the dreams.

This is true. But Tessa is in a mood and says he should have known better.
